There are many edit bay conversations around "if they only knew what it takes they might not make frivolous changes at the eleventh hour".

If you really want to freak your "creatives" out go follow them for a day, see how many hours it takes to piece together the five minutes video you just changed for whatever reason.

Or see what missing a dead line on scripting or content delivery to the creatives does to their workload. Often it means that their days off just evaporated or they are working until midnight the rest of the week because their deadline is not flexible as those departments upstream of them

Then consider that everything they do has to look excellent and sound excellent. These folks are wired to do the best work they have ever done on every project they are handed, they need to excel. Not just in your eyes but in thiers as well.

I know on my team our creatives, editors, lighting designers, audio designers, shooters, are always trying to raise the bar of the audiences' expirience despite shrinking deadlines and greater front office expectations.

Get to know your creatives, learn about their world it does easily fit in to the corporate schema but with a alittle knowledge and understanding they can work side by side.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12421874644687015875noreply@blogger.com
